I am tired of the same old 1BD/1BTH...W/D in Unit...etc...

I am looking for some fun creative titles that catch prospects attention!

Anyone have anything that has worked for them? :)

I think it's easy to get bored with titles as the one posting them, but we need to think about it from the renters' perspective. People skim and glance at pictures, so don't waste words or photos that aren't directly adding valuable information about a listing.

If you were renting, what is the most important information you would want about the property? Probably the neighborhood, # of rooms (or maybe sq ft), amount, availability, maybe a good perk. Make that the title.

What I do is I go and see what others are using as titles and change it to fit my community. I have gotten some really good ones by doing this.

Good luck.

I agree that not every renter is going to click on the quick wit title. If you overdo the fun or catchy titles you may risk loosing the professionalism of your community. Being creative is part of our responsibility but it is also our responsibility to keep up the professionalism of the community. I like to review the other adds online before I post and look at the lengths. I like to have a title shorter or longer than the majority of the others.

I think some humor/fun can be fine if you don't lose your main message in all the extra.
Often I see titles w/o basic information, just making it more work for leads to find out what they need to know. In a busy market, if the next listing is more useful, yours may just get skipped because it's too much work to investigate.
Of course this can also be true with bad pictures (or no pictures/not enough), listings without emails or websites, etc.

My last craigslist ad title was

HEY! I just met you and this is CRAZY!

The first line inside the ad was an apology.

I did get a ton of calls.

:-)

A few more I've used with success:
