I am trying to establish a customer service training program for our service teams. Can any of you point me in the right direction? Thanks!

Are you looking for something like an online learning system? Gracehill can help for that: www.gracehill.com - they provide all kinds on online training courses for everyone on your team, from office to maintenance. If you need specific maintenance skills training, you could contact your local Apartment Association, community colleges, hardward stores, vendors for HVAC parts, etc. I have used each one to provide training to my maintenance teams when there was no corporate maintenance training teams available.

Thank you for the suggestion. We currently use Grace Hill but it does not go as in depth as I am looking for. I think I will just create my own to teach the importance that the Service teams play in customer service as well as resident retention.

Daniel, I think be reading what you wrote in response to what Mindy was suggesting is something specifically tailored to your community. Shoot me the areas where you think you need more training in.

Also, do you have a good grasp on the personality of your personnel? Does the management company give them enough authority in order to provide good customer service. I have found many times that the management is very tight and micro manage rather than empowering thier personnel so they can make calls which will assist the customer. Not saying this is the case here. I can assist you if need be with issues that you feel you need assistance in.
