Hello All!

Every year we have our annual resident pool party. I am looking for some fresh new ideas for games and prizes, etc. if anyone has some to share?

Thanks!

We're going to have a golf putting contest at our summer party (along with table tennis and billiard competitions) The little putting green set was very inexpensive!

I'm also going to have a joke swap. Residents can come share their favorite joke. :)

In the past we have had a billiards tourney, a hula hoop contest and a dj that also has karoke equipment. I absolutely love the "joke swap" idea and the putting contest! Thanks for sharing!!!

Thanks for the input! I did find two other contest that I would like to share with you guys that we did and the residents had a lot of fun! One was the watermelon races: cover the watermelon with baby oil and families compete against each other in a relay race across the pool. The watermelon canot come up from under the water or they will have to start over. The other was the frozen T-shirt contest: we took the 2nd place or runner up winners of the contest and they all were given a frozen t-shirt. The t-shirts were soaked in water, twisted and tied in knots, and placed in the freezer the night before. The first person to get the t-shirt undone and put on is the winner. This was a great contest, almost everyone at the pool was cheering them on! Enjoy!

For the last two years at our annual pool party we had a frozen wet T-Shirt contest. The object is to soak the T-Shirt and freeze it (them) over night. Just before the contest starts bring the T-Shirts pool side. Explain to the residents that the 1st person to completely pull them apart and place the T-Shirt on, wins. Rules vary to your community. 1. No hitting anyone 2. No fire of any kind is to be used 3. You must be confined to the pool area and no leaving 4. ETC. Who truly is involved with this POOL PARTY, would be in the pool to melt the ice from the T-Shirt.

ALL of the other residents will get a kick out of this fun game. Plus, they will join in the next year.
