I was talking yesterday with Mike Whaling, one of the two founders of the #AptChat, and we discussed the issue of non-Twitter people being able to participate! I’ve been trying to find a solution, but it’s been a challenge. We did find an option that is not ideal, but it might be fun to experiment with! So during today’s #AptChat, we will have an addition that allows people without a Twitter account to post under the @mfimembers twitter account. (At 4pm ET, it will show up right below this article on the front page of MFI). The first time the area loads up, it will already have “#AptChat” in the text field, but afterwards, you will need to add “#AptChat” yourself to have it show up in the stream! We will also be approving each Tweet, so there might be a minute delay until your Tweet goes live. This is just an experiment, so please tell us what you think! (P.S. We also have a full-page viewing option for the #AptChat – you can go ahead and submit Tweets, but they will not get issued until the time of the chat.)
