There seem to be many questions surrounding what type of information residents would like to read about from their apartment communities. It's easy, just think of your Facebook fan page as a newsletter!

1. Update residents on new ideas for space saving, organizing, recipes, D-I-Y decorating, and crafts from Martha Stewart (just don't forget to give her credit).

3.Local and online coupons for products and services.

I love using the http://www.Apartmenttherapy.com blog for Facebook content...cool ideas on decorating, cooking, green ideas and a bonus is that there is a lot of local (for me) content as well.

Thanks Charity! I have fun doing the Facebook page. My challenge has been getting tenants and others to be "a fan" of Roscoe Proeprties...so I am kind of posting to the wind at this point

How are you promoting the fan page?

I recommend newsletters, Emails, Signs, and Door hangers. Put a flyer or a sign near the mail boxes too, everyone checks their mail!

Start discussions in the discussion section on Facebook, giving your residents a forum in which to communicate ideas and share news.

Definitely make sure the fan page is noticeable on your website/blog. I would post flyers in elevators and near the entrance.

Feature local businesses/services that your residents use, be a friend or fan of these places if they have Facebook accounts.
