Topic: I need help with a bad landlord

Hi. I am not exaggerating when I say I have a BAD landlord. This guy does nothing for his tennants. If something breaks we are responsible for repairing it. You example my neighbors ac went out and nothing was done about for over a month. In the middle of summer in Louisiana. I went and bought a new ac and gave him my old one. My refrigerator just went out causing me to lose over 200 worth of food. I went and purchased a new one. Now he doesn't want to deduct it from the rent. The worst is... Our state just suffered a tragic Flood. He threatened to kick me out because fema will give him more money than what my rent is. Last but not least after the flood he went up on the rent. Is there anything I can do in this situation?
