What does everyone look for when running an application?

Does anyone have certain criteria prospects have to meet?

If they fail do you call them?

Amanda, your company should be providing a Resident Selection Criteria to every property manager. There should be something in writing in the leasing office, too, that can be given to applicants so they know what is looked at regarding their background (credit/criminal). Applicants whose applications are declined are sent an Adverse Action Letter via email/mail and I direct leasing teams to also call right away and let the applicant know that their application has not been approved. You can then provide the contact info of the screening company so the applicant can contact them directly to see why their application was declined.
