Topic: Letters to Residents in Violation

Hello. I was wondering if there was a good website out there that provides example notices of residents that are in violation of their lease. I am currently looking for a great example of a letter of where I need to notify residents that they are getting charged for window blind replacement due to the damage caused by them.
Thanks for any help!

I don't think we have that type of letter exactly. Would someone be willing to upload their letter to the file bank? (www.multifamilyinsiders.com/apartment-fo...and-letters?start=20)

I'll upload our specific notice of noncompliance, but I also like to recommend taking a look at moco-inc.com/forms_resources.asp to see if your state has any special forms that are necessary.

I uploaded 2 letters to use. One is specific to damaged blinds and the other can be used for a variety of reasons.

That is fantastic, Linda! We've put both files up in the file bank:

Regulations and laws on what you can charge vary by state so be careful. If the blinds were not new when the resident moved in, you could be in trouble if you charge the resident for brand new blinds.
