Topic: Craigslist marketing-how to have a professional looking ad

My company requires that we do 3-5 craigslist posting per day. We previously used Postlets to have our craigslist post look professional for free. Now with Zillow taking over Postlets it is not as quick and my leasing complain about the steps. Are there any other free websites that help your craigslist post look professional?

I copy my old ads and change the lead line. Are you permitted to do that?

Go to a previous ad and "edit."
In the text box hold down CTRL and A to highlight the entire text box
Copy and paste into a WORD document (do several old ads) and put in Dropbox
The HTML language is the key to all of the good stuff.
You can also edit the copy in between the HTML language for additional changes to the copy.
The pictures will still have to be uploaded, but I keep them in Dropbox so everyone can access them
from different computers.

Don't bother with HTML layouts. Stick with the standard formatting, and use bullets and other visual breaks to keep your post as easy to read/skim as possible.

Try using an image editing app like Canva to add text to your images. (Keep the look clean and the text to a minimum.) This will help your images stand out, and will help to get your message across faster and more effectively.

And keep posting! Even though Craig is making more work for marketers, that doesn't necessarily mean it's time to stop posting there. And while you're competition drops off, it will give you a better chance to be seen by potential prospects.
