What is TicTok? I've never heard of it before.

It's an app for making and sharing videos.

I will just watch videos for HOURS there.

We are looking into this! This is the next thing...the growth of this app has been outrageous! However it is designed for a really young demographic.

I think TikTok ( while entertaining) is the Vine of the new generation. Cool and hip for now, explosive growth, not sustainable and will go away in a few years.
If you use it get in NOW and don’t be prepared for it to be a long lived app.

Seriously though, I’ll have to ask my Ops manager about this. Her young adult daughter does some stuff on Instagram for us... I’ll have her run through it with me.

Erik McKinster if I were to use it for this purpose, I would design some sort of long running story. The people I see having popular and interesting content have a storyline that they follow and generally 1-3 characters

TikTok really skews to the younger demographic. I am not recommending pursing this to my clients.

Too young of a demographic on this app. Like teenage young. Not renter age young.

Pretty sure the main demographic of tik Tok is 16 and under. I know this because my 15 year old is on it daily. My 18 year old gave it up over a year ago.

I know people in their 30s that use it regularly. They just have fun with it.

I’m gonna be 40 and not the only one of my friends that uses it. Oh lawd. Did I just admit that? The appeal of it to me as a user is the authenticity. As a marketer, I don’t feel it’s worth the investment of time unless we’re going to make authentic videos that are inline with the vibe TT has going on. I get advertisements everywhere. Sometimes I just want a more real experience.m

Committing some of your time into TikTok now will have payoffs even if the platform becomes irrelevant inc 6 months. Not only will you pick up new skills just by being on a new platform, you will also gain new followers who discovered you on TikTok and will continue to follow you on whatever platform is hot next."

TikTok can be a great way to differentiate yourself from other apartment communities. If used correctly, you can have zero competition on that platform. That being said, it's for a very young demographic, so anyone older than a millennial won't be using it.
