Topic: Apartment Guide allowing Internet-only ads?

I was wondering if you all have heard any rumblings out there that the Apartment Guide will now just let you advertise on the internet. Usually they tell you that you have to have a book ad and then you get internet. Have you all heard anything?

Apartment Guide has been doing that for a while now and recently announced they are stopping publication of their magazines completely in Southern Ca. They will be Internet only in that market. I expect that's just the beginning.

For 2012 we're being offered a package deal that includes a number of internet upgrades and then the option of adding a print ad for an "a la carte" price. Agree that the internet packages are very pricy.

I think they will be rolling this out to everyone as an option by year end.

Yes, they're actually phasing out print. All California markets will be print only in early 2012, others to follow. If you think their internet only packages are pricey now, just wait till you see their new 'packages'.

Yes just today apt announced in Dayton market they will be dropping their print in next few months ...said print dead however in our Dayton market very few books have been distributed over the past year so definitely the results for print leads have dropped...you have to be visible to get results...
