Topic: Yardi software users - managing migration to 7s

I am currently still using 6.18.#### version of Yardi and I am self hosted today. I am preparing to move to 7s and cloud computing. I am looking for any feedback from the masses on lessons learned if you have been through this and/or are in the process of making this journey.

Make sure you communicate with any 3rd party vendors before you switch. They will need to make sure they are compatible and possibly make adjustments on their end. Some settings may have to be reset as well, once you've switched.

Yes, two things to bear in mind.

We were completely relaxed about cloud computing, but we were (astonishingly) cut off by BT. Their mistake took over a week to correct, but we had no access until we put in place a workaround, it was a nightmare! Hard to believe it could happen, but it did to us!

If you output a report as a spreadsheet, you cannot refresh, as you might using Excel/MS Query when hosted locally. This has caused us much anxt, and we are having to adapt how we work in a most unexpected and unwelcome way.
