Has anyone out there heard of anything you can use in multifamily construction that eliminates the need for Gypcrete?

Rather than Gypcrete on the floor above, we use these products on the ceiling below:
-Resilient channel:

-Sound reducing gypsum board:
www.quietrock.com/
-Blown cellulose insulation:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cellulose_insulation
Both the cost and result seems similar to Gypcrete.
