If more people knew just how real a property managers job was it would blow their mind.
Keep doing you, folks, you’re doing good!

These are the same resident that are bunkering down and enjoying the free ride (for now). Why they cant see that each month their balance is going up and that they are digging a he that they cant get out of is so far beyond me. So many people are just taking advantage of this situation.

Amazing how we think income isn’t directly proportional to debt

That is insane. Tenants should buy their own houses.

Y’all don’t even understand that this is like on the back burner in the city of Louisville. Our whole downtown is boarded up and uninhabitable at this point. The protestors are using anything and everything to keep going. One of our courtesy officers told me that there will never be a way that the officers are charged with murder and this city is going to be torn down so bad.

I was a Property Manager for 35 years in the Multi Family Industry and my "real job" included Babysitter, Teacher. Psycharist, Priest, Parent, Policeman, Firefighter, Nurse, Lawyer, Social Worker, Counsellor. As a Resident you expect your Property Manager to be there for whatever you need and this is just the tip of the iceberg, and sometimes... if you are really lucky... you can add Friend to the list. The Multi Family Industry would be in poor shape without the dedication, committment and care of the people in the office with a "real job".

I feel for these people. Not being able to pay your rent is humiliating and scary. Eviction is absolutely horrible. Often for many years into the future.
While I don’t think canceling rent is the answer, I really do feel for their hurt and pain. Ya’ll should, too. They’re humans, too, and when their income and security is threatened, they’re scared and feeling hopeless just like most of us would be.
The lack of empathy on this thread is a true reminder of why society feels this way about landlords. We need to do better.

Like the police don’t already have enough to content with now they have to pick up trash and old furniture all over the street by protesters. They should all be cited for littering.
If a resident thinks they don’t need to pay rent I’m not sure how they expect the property to continue to run. Oh yes by the residents who do pay rent. Clothes and food are not luxuries why not get that free. Winter is coming should you get your utilities free?

This is an irresponsible post, not a real news source. Only objective is to get people fired up. Yes, pandemic is real, people have lost their jobs, and evictions are a real threat. However, as a community we can figure out those that need help vs those that are takers . ????

????!!!! WTH!!!! I challenge any renter to work as hard or harder than me! Both physically and mentally! I further challenge them to being willing to take financial risks, additional stress, create housing, provide housing, contribute to the tax base ( payroll, property, sales, schools, etc) and create employment, all while contributing to the economy at large. Did I mention I was not born with a silver spoon in my mouth. Ready. Set. Go!

Next time a maintenance call comes in...."Sorry, I'm working my "real" job! Use your saved up rent money and hire someone to fix it yourself!"
I'm glad I haven't ran into any ass hats like this yet

Since when is real estate free? They find the money for their phone, car, groceries, alcohol, etc. I feel bad for all the people who have struggled and done everything they could to keep their rent current. While others still working have just decided to ride it out as long as they can. If this is allowed to continue, things will collapse.

Lol the average rent for an 2 bedroom apartment is like $550 a month seriously what do they have to complain about. I was in Kentucky last August and was so shocked how cheap apartments and houses rented for.. My son went to collage out there last year and it was cheaper to rent off campus VS living in the dorms. As far as the rent costs..

Were taxes and utilities cancelled?

The entitlement is sickening! Housing is NOT a right, it's a necessity and I am not your fairy godmother.
