Which area/state is the best for investing in multifamily? We are thinking of moving to either Charlottesville, VA, Chapel Hill, NC, or Columbia, SC. Any advice about the markets, areas, family living, etc. would be great! We are moving from MN.

Chapel Hill, NC is a massive market. You have UNC school and hospital and is an extremely diverse territory. Opportunities there and next to endless, but you need to have a strong plan in place for what you’re going to invest in and brand as, because there are some major players and a bunch of smaller players already in the game there.

Chris Hurst I hear ya! I ran a deal in CH and oversaw 3 others as a RPM. Of the three markets, I would say VA, NC, and then SC.
