You can automate text messages to tenants when their package arrives. TrueDialog.com works with apartment buildings to do just this and it saves them alot of time on calling and reduces clutter.

TGM Communities all use Notifii, which is downloaded to an Ipad mini that has the ability to sync with your property management software. We can scan the bar code of each package that arrives and it automatically send the resident a text and email. We also use this program on our desktops to send residents reminders of events and community rules and regulations.

We use the CallMax package app to notify residents about packages. The app notifies the resident by phone call, text, or email based on the residents preference. CallMax is integrated with RealPage, so the app is updated with new resident info every night. I believe the cost is $99 per month, or less if bundled with other services.

Using this app has definitely cut down on the number of days the packages remain in our office.

I haven't checked recently, but back when I was preparing the proposal for my owner it wasn't expensive.

Notifii ran between $69/month and $129/month.
PackageZen ran at $2.00/month per unit.
Logware ran between $49/month and $139/month.

Hope this helps!
