We are trying to create a move-in package/manual.
What do you suggest to include in the package?

thanks,

Its a great idea to have move in packets, Our residents love the fact that we give them so much info. Especially if they are from out of town and don't know a lot about our area. Our Move in packets include a two pocket folder with local are info and menus to local restaurants on the left had side and on the right hand side we have the info for our residents such as a Resident Handbook, Emergency Maintenance handbook, Fireplace safety instructions, Map of building with highlighted areas of laundry rooms, fitness center, party rooms and trash chutes. Hope this helps!

Hi Martin,

Our move in packet consists of a welcome letter, a copy of our newsletter, phone numbers for all local utilities, a blank maintenance request, and a page of area information. We put it all in a folder so all the information is easy to find when the resident needs it.

When I go marketing our community I gather up special promotions from the companys that I go to. The material I gather I then put in our move in packets. I also make a list of the local restraunts and their phone numbers that deliver. I also have it set up with the restraunts for special move in specials for my new residents that we put in the move in packets. Hope this helps!

We add the Newsletter, # for local utilities and black Resident information form...Sometimes from the time they apply to the time they move, there could be a new car, new phone number, this way the day they move in they can update us too!

If you have a Whitefence-powered connection center, make sure to drive residents to that site to connect utilities, cable, phone, internet, and more!
