Topic: Package systems - is anyone using Luxer package room application?

Package systems - is anyone using Luxer package room application? What are your thoughts and drop it still take staff time to organize the room properly. I am sure the carriers just toss the items and what about Amazon? Thanks for your comments

Parcel Pending is a much better system.

We just ordered Parcel Pending! Haven’t used it yet because the building won’t be occupied until 9/1, but we hear it’s great!

I’ve seen pros and cons. It also depends on the number of packages your property receives.

Utilizing both systems at two different properties. Just started Luxer last week so not a lot of feed back just yet... parcel pending works the issue is that majority of the large packages do not fit. Highly recommend a package room that incorporates one of the systems. This is what we are rolling out with Luxer now ... if you want to DM me I can provide you more feed back in the weeks to come.

Amazon is the only carrier I have issues with. I have yet to have the same driver twice. They can never figure out how to get in the room where the boxes are located. We have given the codes to their supervisor dozens of time but the info is never in their hand held devices. They leave stacks of boxes at random locations on the property. They leave packages that arent even one of our addresses, etc... I could go on and on but you get the point. Other than that, I love the Luxor system

We use Notifii and we love it! We didn't have the money or space to install lockers so we decided to use a software instead. You just use an ipad to scan the package in and it texts the resident automatically! It also integrates with our property management software Resman as well. Highly recommend if you don't have the space or budget for lockers!

It's pretty good. Only con is Amazon carriers are the worst and you rarely get the same driver.

Not using Luxor yet, but like what I know of them, and also the vendor we are using on one asset.
My advice based on first experience is to make sure you have enough storage lockers. The package companies use a formula, but my property's lockers are close to capacity all the time with the "standard" formula, and residents don't move the packages out as quickly as you'd hope (remember the piles that stayed on your office floor...). So we are at capacity, and our vendor projects that packages will double at the holidays. We are already looking at adding another set of lockers, but wish we'd had better info prior to install. There should be data out there about different demographics and packages, maybe even through Luxor.

From a resident perspective...I absolutely LOVE Luxer.

Yes we do! It’s ok. I’m indifferent. The people who deliver never do it properly and takes more time to fix the mess they make of it.

We use Luxer. Wish it was smooth sailing but it isn’t. The delivery carriers make having it a nightmare.

I love the package room because any size package fits and Luxer accepts liability if any package is stolen. But it can be frustrating if carriers don’t log the packages in like they’re supposed to. Mostly it’s Amazon deliveries that are the biggest pain because you have a different person delivering every time. Other than that we love it.

I have used it for past 3 years and love it. We do check it every day because I like it organized and because amazon is the worst. Even checking it daily, I spend less than 10 minutes on packages. No clue what these other issues are. I think it’s amazing.

I did! Works great! iPad mounted outside the room and the delivery people enter all the residents packages in. They get an email with a scan code

No but we use package concierge at several of our properties and really like them. I’ve had co-workers that used Luxor before and prefer package concierge.

The property I live on uses it and its great when it works. We've had a problem of the system going down all the time and sometimes the alerts aren't sent till the next day.

I love Luxer. Very few issues and if something does happen the support they offer is fantastic.

Yup and amazon and other varieties. Lockers are expensive but until people stop buying everything on line they are a necessity

Amazon lockers are the best!!

Don’t do it!!!!!! Amazon checks in one package and just chucks the rest in the room- has been more of a headache for the onsite team

We use Luxer. At first it was a pain because delivery companies weren’t using it properly. However, I made a super simple how to sheet that we hand to every delivery person and it’s solved 95% of the problems we had. A little commitment to making it right goes a long way.

Yes! It’s amazing! I don’t have a bad thing to say. Train your carriers and the rest is a breeze.

Yes and it sucks. Packages tossed everywhere and 10 plus residents a day who dont receive a code to get into the room. Ahhhhh

Try FETCH! Have done all the lockers and different softwares! There are much better options now. The ROI on the lockers just isn’t there anymore.

We accept packages through Notifii and love it! Residents love that they get a text when their package arrives and we are able to weed out unauthorized occupants too.

We have it at a few properties, but I’ve heard about nothing but problems with it. Could be that it doesn’t integrate well with our PM software though.

Luxor customer service is farmed out and just awful to deal with. Owners spent $30k on lockers and couldn’t get them to work. Package concierge is best

We got rid of our Lockers and started using FETCH. Do yourself a favor and check them out.
