I miss the days of free rent as well, although the rent then was much more reasonable.
All the perks are gone from the apartment industry, along with the reasonable rents.
Instead of one job, you have one person with MANY jobs. Oh and nowadays, you work for all the mail and package delivery services. Add postal to the many other jobs you do.
I was always on call 24-7 as a manager.
It made it so much easier to handle all the emergencies being right there on site.
The free rent was a perk to the downside of sometimes having to work all day and all night.
20% discount how ridiculous. Apts. these days are upward of $1000.00 to 2000.00 a month depending on family size. I'm not sure how much a leasing agent makes these days but it's not stable enough to pay rent.
20% discount means you will work for your money to give it right back to them for rent.
Just doesn't seem right. You are there living on the property basically security for the property as well add that to the other many jobs you have.
Being there 24-7 and available at a moments notice just doesn't mean anything these days.
20% discount is not anything but an insult.
