sweet mercy, "we got solutions" grammar much? This reminds me so much of 2004 to 2006 when every single day our properties were littered with flyers, direct mail and even door to door new home salesmen. Many of you remember 2007/2008 when all those people who couldn't afford their rent moved into newly constructed homes, started getting balloon payments, and realized they couldn't pay/afford their mortgage either. I see these as a sign of the future.

Rents go up BECAUSE of greed. Price setting is supposed to be illegal, but market surveys are still done weekly to insure the entire market makes bank. Just saying ...

rents go up because expenses, such as property taxes and utilities, continue to rise. The older a community gets, the more expensive it is to maintain. It isn’t always greed.

Probably a BK company ... Or crooked lawyer who will find any landlord negligence as a counter claim until suit is dropped. They probably even work on contingency.

Brenda Snow Hammett anyone who files bk puts evictions on hold, how long depends on the state. Here is a great read on a story where squatters broke into a home and the owners had to stay with friends while courts did their thing. Then the squatters filed bk to avoid the eviction.

Yes. I have seen those. The first the attorney checks is to make sure your legal name is right on the lease. Depending on the judge. The eviction can be dismissed. Went through that one time. 6 months later and legal fees we were finally able to get that resident out.

All I can say is to make sure your legal name is right on the lease. If it is. It is just a way for residents to buy tons and they don’t have to move
