Im not trying to sound snooty and maybe it’s just because I’ve been in the business 33 years but I have never had a hard time getting my work done. Delegation is key. It may also be because I’m OCD. I am a little old school and each office employee has an agenda book. With a larger staff we would meet on Friday and schedule next weeks work. They would write theirs down in their agenda on the day it was due and I would write everything on mine including what I needed to do. Every day I would check to see if they got their work done and check it off as it was completed. If needed we would carry it over to the next day. I also made sure everyone could do each other’s jobs so when someone was out we didn’t miss a beat. When a coworker was out for a day a week or longer the rest of the team did their work so when they came back they had nothing to catch up on and found truly enjoy being away.
