I had someone throw nails in the yard of a single family home they were evicted from.
So I used a magnet to pick them all up, and hand delivered them to their new address.

I suspected a resident had skipped so decided to check the apartment just before leaving on a Friday. Good thing bc it was late summer and the furnace was on high. I found they had put eggs in the furnace and turned it on hoping to cause me grief

Scientifically if you run really hot water down the drain it thins it almost back to liquid and will clear the drain

If you HAD to pour grease down the drain, the best way to do it is to run COLD water. The grease will harden into smaller clumps on the way down and would be more likely to flow through instead of solidifying as it sits and cools in the mainline.
But, yeah, don't pour grease down the drain.
