We have 2 at our deal in the Navy Yard in DC that stabilized a few months ago. They've definitely come in handy during COVID.

We’re actually planning on a few small butterfly gardens in the spring. And also working with a neighboring church on a community garden in their vacant lot.

My understanding is that the church had a community garden several years ago, but weren't able to keep interest up and keep it going. Our property spans several blocks, so we have townhomes on either side of the church, and there is this huge vacant lot in the middle of our property. Being under relatively new ownership, I'm hoping we have the resources to both generate interest and help keep it up. Our company offers a paid day off benefit for charitable work, and I'm thinking our staff could take a day to prep the lot for gardening and mark off plots. The church also has a food pantry, so ideally, we could grow produce for them also...it's all ideas right now...we'll see. Also, the butterfly gardens are kind of a no-brainer, given our management company is called MIMG ("Monarch" Investment & Management Group).
