Hi!
Fetch is coming to our area and I was wondering if anyone who currently uses it has any feedback? Sounds amazing for the management side but how do residents feel about it? Do you have issues with residents mailing stuff to their physical address rather than the fetch warehouse? Or any other issues we may need to consider?
If you don't recommend Fetch, is there any other Package System you would recommend?
Thanks

My community where I live used them at one time.I did not like them. I feel as a Resident that the company should have contacted me and let me know about their services never had any communication from them. I tried reaching out with no call back. I was forced to pay for the service. The management didn't market it either. So I would not recommend without a good marketing plan.

Mona Sanders thank you! Was it the fee and poor implementation from the management side that was the issue? Or was it the fetch service itself? Any delivery issues, tracking issues, etc.?

Jenny Humphries You know I couldn't tell you because I couldn't even use the service because NOBODY called me back. Management gave me a flyer but nothing so I would say it was both!

As a resident and manager, It’s one of the worst services that exists. They rarely deliver in their designated time slots and they cause a lot of issues for residents. Example: if a $1500 tv gets delivered to fetch from ups, and fetch doesn’t ever deliver to the door. There is 0 help received for the residents, they can’t file a loss claim because fetch has a non existent customer service and ups won’t take the blame for it because fetch signs off on the packages. It is an absolute nightmare. Look at their google and yelp, it says it all.No package system is perfect but any package lockers such as Luxor, parcel pending, or Amazon boxes are at least 10 times better than fetch.

Jenny Humphries no problem! Fetch honestly adds more plate on management with the amount of residents that are furious with the service, and lots of renewals becomes notices because of them:) hope it helps!

We get mixed feelings at our community with the residents. I live onsite and use them and personally have never had any issues. We did have problems at one time getting packages for the office actually delivered to the office due to UPS and FedEx taking the packages straight to Fetch warehouse, but we were able to get it resolved. Your Fetch account rep will change constantly since they seem to have high turnover and customer service for the residents is hard to get a hold of. Other than that I say it has been worth it for our community. Just be prepared to hear the residents want to opt out and not pay for the service. It will take time for them to adjust to it.

Oh and I much prefer Fetch over package rooms or lockers. It takes a lot of liability off the office and puts it on Fetch.. and lockers were okay but constantly breaking down in my opinion.

Andrea Poston Thank you! Can I ask what area you’re in? It sounds like the main negative is the fetch delivery drivers. Which leads me to believe since it’s new to our area and this isn’t a huge metropolitan area, that we may experience the issues with driver shortages….

I’m in Fort Worth, TX. We did experience at one point some delays due to drivers but it didn’t last long.

Had fetch last summer at a property; awful. Also thought it was exclusive to Greystar? Kinda like hello Alfred? Either way, if you truly have any say- it’s a huge no go. Almost every single one of our 360 residents had more than half of all presents missing Christmas morning- why? Bc Fetch didn’t have enough employees to drive and sets up times then cancels last minute. There customer service for mgmt or residents is a joke and you get nothing done but your rep bringing you donuts.I think services lead to more error stick with the least hands touching packages. I have liked lockers (parcel pending; charges residents, or Luxor)

Paige Koly Thank you for responding! Maybe it started out as exclusive for Greystar only? I’m not sure… but they’re definitely not anymore (at least not in my area). That was our one fear- that the delivery times would be delayed. And when people pay for prime they want it the day it’s supposed to come. Plus times like Christmas I can imagine would be a nightmare if things got delivered to the warehouse but not to the resident. We have a parcel pending package room currently (we don’t charge residents for it, we just pay the monthly fee and opted out of the pick up fee), and our biggest issue is drivers not using it properly!

We have them. Overall I love it. Like any implementation, there are growing pains at first. While we’ll get a complaint now and then, overall it’s been very successful and taken hours of dealing with packages off my team!

Personally, training residents to use it was cumbersome, but all in all, LOVE it. If the resident deliver packages to their home it is this responsibility to get the driver from point A to point B. We also have SmartRent so it is possible. We no longer accept packages and are selling our package lockers.
