Do you notice that tenants and people in general are just angry. I returned a phone call today from an angry old lady because i sent her a 2nd notice for recertification. She claimed she never got the first one. Oh my gosh she must have yelled at me for everything she could think of going back years. She even complained that there was too much green outside. Said people could be hiding in the bushes and shrubs. I should have ended the conversation sooner than i did.

I think it all started with the lockdown. I’m glad I was able to retire.

I had a senior lady threaten to bring her gun into office about dog poop this week. Unbelievable!!

Some people complain about anything and everything.

I use the "Oh excuse me my attorney is calling, I have to take that call". Lol

Or the tenants that come in to complain because maintenance closes the trash lids (as they should be)

I keep getting phone calls from prospects who want to tell me their life history. I think they feel if they wear me down on company policies, they can slip in.

Cindy Shearer It's amazing what I've learned about people being in this business. I've made that one of my "yellow" flags. It seems in telling me their life story they are trying to make me their friend, thereby bypassing my business process. Now, I immediately wonder, "OK, what are they trying to have me not know?"

By the.way going through my own roller coaster, I have become a means and I hate it. I also hate poor customer service.

Many are stressing. You do not know where they are or what they are going through. Incomes are not going up, but cost of living is. Why fo ai think she is on a set income? Maybe or maybe not. Take the time to listen. Those bushes, well do check them as she may just be right. I hated the bushes around my house and greatful they are removed. At my last community, I had an elderly resident who taught me about snakes living in the bushes. At first I sounded like you in my head, but ha when I saw one I almost died. I do know however bushes are also a major safety issue. Let her vent and guarantee you when she calms she will feel bad. We all need to vent.

I got scolded today because the paper towels in the community bathroom, are no longer coming with perforation for tearing.I’m blaming a long miserable winter, I know I could use more sun.

She probably doesn't have anyone so she's taking it out on you. She just wants to be heard. I got yelled at and hung up on by a resident because she didn't win the contest for finding the oldest penny. just remeber its not you, it's them.

Yes ma’am and I have noticed that I am a lot more angry as well. I found a website called politepost.net that will switch around emails and texts to make them sound more professional.

For instance, this is what I typed: You knew damn good and well that you should not have rented rims for your car when you are 2 months behind in rent payments. You should have paid us first. Now you are about to be evicted but at least your car looks good. How old are you? How can you be 32 and still make bad life choices? Get it together, Roger!

This is what it transformed it in to: Dear Roger,

I am writing to inquire about your recent rent payment. We noticed that your payment is two months behind and we wanted to check in and see if there is any way we can assist.
