Residents w/mental illness

Micromanaging, lack of professionalism and lack of support from upper management. It’s hard to do your job when you’re constantly told it’s wrong- even when it’s exactly how they’ve told you to do it & per policy…

Their bosses

Too much technology and reporting that keeps them behind their desks 80% of the time is what I heard on EVERY site visit.

Micromanaging, no trust from regionals, unrealistic expectations with minimum staff. Big companies are going to centralizing positions but adding more work to the onsite staff so now they are permanently short staffed. Unmotivated and young workers who don’t work hard or care to learn. Entitled residents and parents.

NGO’s + Fraud = Govt abuse and cover-up

Most of the time for me it’s what you watch on Netflix or where to eat that day🤔. After retiring at 45 from rentals and now just manage the property…..it’s all good

For me, it's never the residents, I am good at communicating with my residents as I have an open door policy, which they appreciate. I don't hide behind closed doors scared to to go face to face with them. The challenge is lack of support. Too many reports, emails, Grace Hill classes constantly, webinars, and conference calls. OMG! What happened to walking your property, talking to people, making sure things are getting done, or that your property looks clean and maintenance is doing what they're supposed to be doing? I myself go out and do actual direct marketing, and attend resident events. I am old school I guess. I have been drifting out of the industry because of the impersonable tech robots our position criteria has become.
