What is the best and most accurate way to create digital floorplans? was created by Anonymous member
I need to create digital floor plans for multiple properties. I do not have blueprints or anything to go off of other than going inside of the unit.

Your carpet company might be able to provide a rough layout that you can give to your graphics people

I have had to have floor plans created with nothing to go off of. I drew it out on a piece of paper with the dimensions(bedrooms/etc etc) and gave it to the graphic designer.

How old is your property? It might not be too difficult to find your architect and get your blueprints.

Our website was just updated and we used Cubi Casa to help with the floor plans.

I would measure and draw it out myself on graph paper and then upload to Chat GPT to create a professional looking floorplan. Someone on Fiverr could also do this from your drawing. If you’ll be using Matterport for 3D tours, they can create a floorplan. I’ve heard you can upload photos of a room on ChatGPT and it will create a floorplan. I have not tried that.

Use a laser measurer and an app like Magicplan

Do you use apartments.com? Matterport photoshoots used to be included in their packages and it comes with a floor plan

Or order a messing stick (cheap) and have each person take measurements of a unit and see what everyone comes up with.

Find an architecture student and have them blow out some as built for you. Honestly unless you have nothing else to do the barrier to entry for obtaining good software and learning to use it just isn’t worth it.
