Brad Kirshenbaum took this on during his session at #Apartmentalize, and he was fairly blunt: No, "it certainly won't replace BI at all."

He broke down BI into three parts: the business, the data, and the intelligence. AI has gotten very good at the first two. It can crunch numbers and build you a dashboard in minutes. What it doesn't have is the third part.

As Brad noted, “there's these things that exist in conversations, whether it's meetings, whether it's one-on-ones, whether it's big group settings, that AI just doesn't have that information yet.”

Think about pricing decision the team makes: Is it purely a function of the numbers in your PMS? Or did it also factor in something a broker mentioned last week, or new units you know are coming online that haven't hit any database yet?

According to Brad, there is context AI can't see, that sits in your unique understanding of your business. It's not a data problem, but rather an access problem, and not everybody will want AI sitting in on every meeting just to close that gap.

What is your all's take? Has the death of BI in place of AI been overstated?
