We have a great resident that has been with us for a few years. During her residency, she has only had 1 or 2 work requests. She lives on the second floor. A few months ago, her boyfriend moved in. Since he moved in, we have work orders almost daily. A few weeks ago, we had to replace the shower pan. It was leaking (The contractor said that it was from too much weight stepping on the drain). The weight rating for a shower pan maxes out around 350-400 lbs. We did not charge the resident for the repair; however, the resident called again yesterday to say that they think that the new shower pan is leaking. How do I diplomatically tell the resident that he needs to use the cast iron tub (It has a shower head) and stop using the walk-in shower because it is not rated for his weight? #1, I don't want to embarrass him or her and I don't want to hurt his feelings. #2, I don't want a fair housing complaint.
