Me: “What is the date you are moving out?”
Resident: “We don’t know yet. But can you start our notice today and we will give you an official date in about a month when we know more?”
Me: “That’s not how a notice works.” 🤦♀️

Just had one, gave notice 3/23,, moved out 4/30. Complained to apt assoc because I charged cost of reletting. Apt not cleaned complained about fees. There is no winning with these people anymore. They all want us to change the rules to suit them. It doesn't work that way. It's nothing personal, I'm just doing my job.

When a resident tells us that they are buying a house we always make it clear to the person coming in that there may be some flexibility needed due to any settlement issues. Those who have no flexibility, we will move to one that doesn’t need it. Those who can allow flexibility, we will give to them.
