Biophilic Design ~ It won’t bug you…

Biophilic Design ~ It won’t bug you…

0D4FCB0F-7136-4846-9C6B-8DFB7137805E This trend beckons sanctuary in your home. Cozy. Organic. Raw. Natural.

Feeling connected all the time? Wanting to unplug. Me too, friend, me too.

Let's shut it all down (after we read the blog - oh the irony!)

Biophilic design yearns for nature. It seeks it out. Bringing the outside in and the inside out. Living walls. Indoor herb gardens. Color cues and texture from nature. Are you utilizing this macro trend?

Christopher Marley is an American artist that puts his design and heavy hitter fashion background talents to work in literal biophilic design. His work incorporates true elements of nature. All of Marley's specimens are obtained sustainably and ethically. All vertebrates are reclaimed after dying of natural causes in captivity.

He creates original three dimensional artwork using natural specimens that have been featured in over 500 art galleries. He has two incredible books "Pheromone, The Insect Art of Christopher Marley" and "Biophilia" which is a New York Times Bestseller.

I hope this inspires you as much as it inspires me. Look closely below and BEE amazed!

I paired some of our nature inspired tile designs with Christopher's artwork to show that some of the best design imitates nature.

Follow him on Instagram at @pheromone_christophmarley to see more of his earthy elements at work.

Plant based,

Tracy
