Carpet, don’t call it a comeback

Carpet, don’t call it a comeback

IMG_119_20250307-184003_1 Tonals and moodier colors are oh so forgiving. Bicycle approved too.

Carpet as ROI. Return on investment. How does that make you feel?

Do you want to rip it out of all your units? Are all carpets created equal!?! (Rhetorical answer…no, they are not.)

Through advancements in technology, there exists on the market affordable luxury in the carpet space. Vigorous testing, twists, fiber types, color, denure, low lustre, shorter pile, durability, density, weight, stain-fighting, and wearability all matter for multiple turns to exist in carpet. So you’re saying there’s a chance?

Just a reminder, spring is almost here. It’s that time of year. Time to start marinating and simmering on fresh new styles for your next project, spaces, and places.

As you are making your selections, brainstorming, and pontificating, I have a few practical tidbits on choosing your floors. Here is a little advice to ensure your flooring looks great from the grand opening to handing the keys over to your renter again, and again, and hopefully again.

First, I highly encourage you to talk to your local flooring representative as your scope, design scheme, and budget are starting to come together. Ask our advice. We know which are the best-selling, most long-lasting, most exciting, and eye-catching affordable products for that ohhh and ahhh moment you want to capture. We know you want to put your best foot forward. We want the same thing! Let’s stretch your dollar with value and attainability.

We know LVP reigns. We love luxury vinyl planks too. It’s a great choice for units. But, don't forget, carpet is a cozy choice for bedrooms and offices. It is quiet (so many noisy neighbors), slip resistant for safety, and oh so warm. Also, think about that valued foot traffic. It is wise to stay away from very light colors. Pro tip: pick a warmer color, or a moodier look in a tonal which is very forgiving. Look for carpet that helps to fight stains and soiling and cleans up easily.

So lean in. Ask about your reps about all of the new trending, beautiful, timeless flooring available to you.  Let's delight your future residents and continue to design from the floor up. Home is where the heart is, after all.

Bonus: It’s made in the USA
