Start planning now for Earth Day! I know ~~ Earth Day isn't until April 22! I like to make things easy & plan ahead! There are a bunch of simple ways to celebrate Earth Day at your apartment community! Gathering your residents together for an activity is always a great way to encourage retention and strengthen your resident community.

Below are some easy, inexpensive ways to Celebrate Mother Earth!

- Host a community clean-up event, encouraging residents to pick up litter around the property .

- Plant a small community garden with herbs or flowers .

- Organize a recycling drive and educate everyone on the importance of recycling.

- Offer a recycling education workshop .

- Organize a nature walk or hike in a nearby park .

- Host a plant swap .

- Educate residents with a green living workshop.

- Create a Sharing library for used books & magazines. Don't toss those old books and magazines ~~ SHARE THEM.

- Have a Shred Day - Hire a Shred Truck to come in and shred old files for your residents.

- Have a Succulent Bar. You supply the plants, dirt and small pots. The resident put it together. Have some snacks and drinks on hand.

- Host a 'Lights Out' Event: Set a Specific Time and Duration: Choose a convenient time for your community, like an evening, and decide on the duration of the event. An hour is typically sufficient to make an impact without causing inconvenience. Hosting a 'lights out' event involves turning off non-essential lights and electrical appliances for a set period, highlighting the importance of energy conservation.

- Partner with Goodwill and host a donation event for clothing, small household items and shoes.

-Host an Earth Day Potluck: An Earth Day potluck is a fantastic way to celebrate our planet's bounty while fostering community and environmental consciousness. Encourage participants to use locally sourced ingredients and cook from scratch. Swap recipes with each other so you can make these dishes at home.

- Support your local Farmers; host a pop-up market in your club house. Invite local farmers to come in and sell their goodies.

- Hold a raffle for those who participate in your Earth Day activities.

Together, we can make a positive impact on our planet. Let's make Earth Day count! Let's make a difference together!

Remember, I am part of your team. If you need a flyer for any of your events, let me know!
