"The Manager at Park at XXX deserves DEATH!"

If you have attending my training you'll hear lots of funny stories about resident, employees and the craziness of our business.  As many of you do, I have a journal of endless antics, stories and episodes as I travel through the property management world!   I vow that none of the things I shared are fabricated, because the REAL stories of REAL people and events are SOOO much more entertaining and full of life than anything I could EVER make up.

That being said, I was a bit taken back when a post came across my Facebook feed recently.  The post states,  "the manager at Park at XXX deserves death."  WOW!  I thought that is pretty harsh, wonder what the manager did to this guy... then I click on his profile and learn that not only did he post this about a manager, but HE himself is in the apartment industry AND a temp, probably looking for a job no less!!  WOW!!!

So I encourage you to remember that your social media presence IS YOUR everyday presence!  If you think that people don't look at your profile when they are interviewing people YOU ARE WRONG!!

What shocking posts or information have you seen that made think about how social media has changed the game???

Love to hear the feedback!!

Without the whole story behind it no one can pass judgement. I myself have been in maintenance and construction most of my adult life, and, yes have been done wrong by more than one manager at more than one company. That being said, I walked away with my head held high all but once and was back to work with-in a short time every time. That one time I speak of I was done terribly wrong and I stood my ground to the bitter end just before I let my tongue fly and fly it did to the pm and rm/dm I was
done for any how was marked no rehire- ever and did not care cause if they gonna treat employees like that I don't wanna be there any how. Now I am doing better than ever and had I remained where I was would never have gotten this far. By the way the pm and rm that terminated me were also terminated in due time. Thank you carma. Now that being said no I did not post on any social media though others who knew about the situation like my treasured residents who were so upset over the situation they ended their leases and left also stating my termination the reason for their leaving wow yes it is true. I do my job and do it well my property is just that MY PROPERTY. I take ownership and pride in my work probably not the best thing this person could have done yet we all make mistakes in our lives. Move on and move up right
