Adding to this, home construction has fallen significantly since the global financial crisis. During this time, home builders and lenders became increasingly cautious, leading home construction to drop 55% between 2006 and 2021.Although mortgage rates may decline over the year if the Federal Reserve cuts interest rates, it may not be enough to boost the supply of affordable housing.The good news is that new-home construction is forecast to increase in 2024, with single-family housing starts projected to grow 4.7%.

Guest Insider right, I have TONS just walk in and hand me blank money orders or checks! I make a pointe to say “stay right here” as I write it out and than say “please don’t do that, not all are as honest as me or my team”, the next month same conversation! Ugh, smh!

Guest Insider Our towing company comes out once a month and tags cars for non movement, tabs, broke down, flat tires etc.. We also drive property daily and issues warnings if needed.

Guest Insider If the vehicle is in our system, we contact the resident. Typically that solves it. If not, we post a tow notice telling that person to call the office immediately or we will tow in 24 hours. If it's parking in handicap, ignoring closed off parking areas (for painting, repairs, etc), or other such 'major' infractions, we will tow same day. We will tag it or call the resident and tow by 5 if not moved or the issue resolved.

Guest Insider I’m in the Dallas/FtWorth market. I only allowed them to tow if someone was in covered parking with no sticker or not registered or in handicap with no handicap permit displaye.I did not allow them to tow for tags being out or inoperable unless the manager called personally to request a tow. If there is no covered parking on the property then some people tow without having a sticker.

During the Centralization & Optimization: Using Technology to Centralize & Optimize Operations Effectively session at RETCON this past week, Whitney Kidd asked a great question about potential reduction in customer satisfaction (CSAT) scores after centralization efforts. Gigi Giannoni shared that they only received 3 negative complaints across the entire portfolio, but one thing they had focused on was increasing the frequency of resident surveys and the timeliness of their response.
