I'm Heather. I live in the Seattle Metro Area and I'm the Imagination in Charge of Behind the Leasing Desk Consulting Services! As a Consultant, Speaker, and Trainer, I'm going to throw this out there... I LOVE MY JOB!!!
My special area of focus in the multifamily world is on the people side of our job. From working with residents to engaging employees, I feel that working with people is the most important aspect of what we do, and I love to train and help folks better communicate with those around them. Marketing, Conflict Resolution, Traffic Generation, Social Media Engagement, and both Employee and Resident Retention all boil down to communication and knowing how to work with people, so these are the areas that I specialize in and have trained hundreds of property management professionals in.
On a personal note, I like pretty much everyone, my dog, my guy, Alan, and have special fondness for eating honey straight from the comb and putting seasoned salt on popcorn or cottage cheese. I love writing, as you've probably come to find by reading my blog at www.behindtheleasingdesk.com. A few of the places that you can find my property management writing featured at are Appfolio's Property Manager E-Zine, Multifamily Insiders, On-Site Newspaper, and UNITS Magazine. I also enjoy talking with anyone who has new perspectives, ideas or just wants to bounce some thoughts. Twitter me at Artchickhb. You can also email me at [email protected] with questions about BTLD Consulting Services, and to book me as a consultant, speaker, or special projects contractor for your company!
