Topic: Interest in shared laundry management tool

One of the most important amenities wanted by renters is in-unit laundry. Unfortunately some of the properties we manage are too old or too difficult to retrofit with in-unit laundry. So we're stuck with shared laundry rooms. Not ideal.

With shared laundry residents have to deal with availability and maintenance headaches, and property managers have to deal with self vs. third party suppliers, coin collections, complaints, little oversight over the state of their shared laundry facilities, and the risk of scaring of potential new residents.

Is there an interest in a web tool that can help solve these problems? Would a solution that can help:
  • Current Residents - track usage and availability of machines in real time, communicate to management/maintenance about laundry issues, communicate with other residents about laundry issues - (peace of mind/community building)
  • Property managers - track usage and coin collections, manage maintenance and laundry concerns, communicate with residents, coordinate and track repairs with maintenance - (business intelligence) and self manage rather than deal with the headaches of third-party laundry suppliers (contracts/coins/support) - (take back control)
  • Potential residents - make your property more appealing knowing its shared laundries, no longer a pain, are equipped with this tool (marketing boost)
