We LOVE PooPrints! That being said, people are still lazy in the winter. We wait for spring to roll around to collect samples and fine them heavily once we get the results back.

Yes. It's worth it. Proper implementation, consistency in enforcing rules, and on-site team buy-in play a major role in the success of the program.

A property I took over the previous mgmnt used it and employees it helped. But the new company stopped using (why who knows. It was a source of revenue). The poop increased. Shame.
But it did work.

I begged to get poo prints at my property after helping out at a sister property that used it. They zero pet waste issues. Versus mine where people so very rarely pick up after their dogs, our own residents pick up after other peoples dogs. We only had one maintenance guy and it takes away his time from important work orders by having to clean up dog poop.
Then as a renter I have the worst neighbor. His dog will poop anywhere. We’ve found poop in the hallway. Poop on the front steps and all they do is deny it because no one actually saw it happen. Despite us never having issues until this particular neighbor moved in.
You can create revenue for the property. This sister property I visited had a $200 fine when caught. So that is a way bigger incentive for residents to pick up cause it hurts their pockets.
The only scenario I’ve heard of not working is if your property is in a location where there are many visitors/non residents that come through the property.

We are in a mixed use development and it never worked. Too many dogs that weren’t our residents so it cost too much money to run the samples and get no match. It all depends on your property.

We used a DNA testing service until one day when the results came back as "human, at higher risk for colon cancer." I quit that day.
