Just watched a piece on the local news ~ house prices have risen 53% in the last two years (just when I was ready to buy a house!) and rent has risen 48% in the last 4 years in Western North Carolina. What is the market doing where you live?

It's insane. And this can't last. And it all feels a heck of a lot like 2007... buckle up.

I’m in Boise. I believe the last numbers I saw were 73% rise in home prices and 65/68% in rent (can’t remember which).

I had to get my house appraised so I could refinance. The appraisal from this time to last time almost doubled!

About the same. I read an article yesterday that Phoenix needs 15,000 more apartments to stay up with demand. I don’t see it slowing down here anytime soon.

Here is some good info on this topic. It is a few years old, but still relevant! www.nmhc.org/.../apartment_supply_shortage_2018...

I’m blessed to have had that opportunity. I’ll share that my house value has more than doubled in that time. Seattle area. North end of lake Washington. It’s crazy. Based on neighboring house sales the last five months, it’s ‘market value’ ( we know how that works in our industry) is nearly five times what I bought it for 18 years ago.
