Do you all think there is a better way to encourage people responding? You are right Sandy that hundreds watch any given thread, but only a fraction respond. So they obviously find it valuable to come here, but it would be nice to convince more people to not be shy!

I work on the maintenance side of the house (newly promoted assistant maintenance supervisor). I read articles on resident retention and the like just to learn more about the leasing side. When I read maintenance blogs, most of the guys have way more time and experience than I. I mostly come here to learn and don't post unless I really feel I have something to contribute. I do share what I learn though! My Community Director already has a stack of articles I've printed for her!

I'm a huge lurker. I love to read the posts, but rarely have time to reply. And sometimes I am curious about the topic but have no knowledge to add anything meaningful.

Apparently, just us! :-) All kidding aside, I know what you mean. There seems to be a lot less people commenting or even sharing ideas. Are people afraid of voicing opinions? I hope not!
