Strangest was about the toilet not working. Maintenance gets there and it’s broken…like a whole chunk of the base in the back is broken off. I have no idea how they broke the porcelain toilet but it was nuts.
Another strange one was a ghost.

I have a resident who puts in a work order every couple of months saying her kitchen cabinets are falling. She claims to hear them creaking at night. We've had them looked at numerous times. Maintenance has literally hung off the cabinets to prove to her they're secured properly. Property was built in the 80s and very well kept.

No you aren’t. It’s hard not to feel sad for them. I find if I can keep a little bit of humor about it it keeps me sane. My lady who thinks her townhouse is haunted and wants a priest to do an exorcism is a very sweet person and only in her 30s. It breaks my heart that she is that scared and we can’t fix it for her.

I actually feel very sorry for some of our residents who seem to have mental problems of some kind of sort. It is sad, and I try to help as much as I can. I am probably too soft for this business.
