There's some product called bird be gone. We spray it around the sprinkler heads and it keeps them away.

You cant see the spikes we have, but they are high. I like your idea too, let me know if it works.

Was hoping to find a more pleasing to the eye solution. Thinking about some small 3×3 self adhesive mirrors to glue behind the sprinkler head. If they see their reflection they'll think it's another bird and leave.....maybe???
