method of payment (hourly or salary) is different than status (exempt vs. non-exempt). You could be exempt from overtime due to the amount of pay and duties, but paid hourly. So maybe your question is about status?

Salary! That way you can work all the hours "they" need and they not be forced to pay overtime!
I always say "Yes I'm salary. I get to work as many hours over 60 as I can handle in a normal 40 hour week!"
