You would be better off going to a cashless system. The initial set up with the residents is challenging but the rewards are more than worth it.

Current laundry vend pricing is trending at $2 to wash and $1.75 to dry. Add .50 cents if you are in a downtown city area like LA. Machines only have so many cycles in them. Depending on the usage and sometimes abuse of overloading, using too much powder soap, etc. Call in any breakdowns as soon as you are aware as most companies are slim on techs right now and it may be a couple of days no matter what they claim. Get away from coin if you can. Apps are great and run on the residents phone Bluetooth-but not all apps are created equal. WASH has a proprietary app that takes the residents request to repair if something goes wrong and reimburses them right then. WASH also has a credit add value station that is a simple touch screen system. If your machines are breaking down often and you are still in your lease for a while, request replacement. I would rather replace a machine than travel constantly to repair it. If your lease is up, renew with new machines and the upgraded technology.

We currently have a card system and the residents can refill on a app, our laundry is 2.00 and dryer is 2.25, we do a nice income each month

Our low income communities charge $1.75/load on washing, and $2.00 per load to dry. Most of our residents don't have credit cards, and they haven't expressed any issues with needing a bill change machine.
