Your building’s exterior is the first line of defense against water intrusion, pests, and other threats to your property. Understanding your exterior building systems is the first step to proper preventative maintenance and long-term asset preservation. We will discuss building components such as siding, windows, roof, foundation, and all other aspects to the building “envelope”, including trim, sealant, flashing, and waterproofing. You will learn their function, why they are important, and how to recognize proper and improper installation. After this webinar, you will have the tools necessary to understand what is required to resolve issues in-house, and when it is necessary to utilize external contractors.
