Hi Teresa,
You cannot charge pet rent or deposit for the support animal, as it is not a pet. Here is the HUD response:

"The landlord cannot charge John a pet deposit for his animal because it is not a pet, but rather a service/companion animal required for disability." Source

I have read the guidelines regarding service and emotial support animals, still I am curious as to what other communities follow for rules.
I am getting more and more people that have emotional support dogs or cats.
What do you charge when they want to bring 2 animals and only 1 is for support?
Thanks!
