Mindy - We have key fob access for our buildings. There is a callbox at each building door, where guests can call the residents. The box is programmed to then allow residents to unlock the building door with their phone.

Megan - We use SimplexGrinnell for our key fobs and callboxes. It's great, but there are labor costs to keep in mind - the system we have requires that we take our laptop to each building when uploading new key fobs for residents. Or, if a resident changes their phone number, that's another trip out to the building to update the callbox. Resident loses a fob, that's another trip. I'm sure if we would have known how much time is used going building to building, we would have opted for the networked/wireless updating during the program implementation.

How do guests gain entry if there are fob only access? Do you have some kind of intercom systems installed in the units? I have an aging community that we are currently seeking a more secure access system, so I'm curious what you are doing.

Hello;

We're renovating an apartment complex in Sherman Oaks, CA, and are looking to install key fob access at common area doors. Does anyone have any recommendations as far as suppliers/vendors.

Thank you,

Megan
